Where Can I Get It? -PhotoEditorX.com
I’ve gotta say, I’m a pretty advanced user in Photoshop, so when I came across PhotoEditorX.com and took a look at what they had to offer, I was pretty impressed.
Go ahead and just take a look at the “Magic Selection Tool” video on that site! That’s amazing.. it would take me a solid 15 minutes in Photoshop to get the same result…. and I’m GOOD!
First Impressions
As I said, I was pretty blown away by it. For the casual user that wants to edit their own photographs without investing the enormous amount of money required to get into something like Photoshop… this is a winner for sure.
Strengths
PhotoEditorX makes it simple, there are a huge amount of video tutorials and the support is great. There’s a continually growing community of users, so help is pretty easy to find when you don’t know how to make it do what you want to do…
Weaknesses
It’s not Photoshop. Plain and simple, it’s just not… it can do the majority of the work that photoshop does, and the stuff that it can’t do, is pretty much stuff that only professional editors use rarely.. so it doesn’t really have an affect on the normal user, but if there was a weakness to PhotoEditorX… well, that’s it.
But I mean, c’mon… it’s $47 bucks! Photoshop is what…. $300?!
Overall Conclusion
If you’re someone that wants to edit your own photos and have them come out looking fantastic, and I mean really good… this is your program. It’s easy to use, it’s quick (really, really quick) and it couples with GIMP so you have any tool you could possibly need for editing your photos.
It really is a great little piece of software.
I dare you to go watch the videos on the photoeditorx.com website and not be impressed..
